Quincy is situated near the geographical center of the state of Washington. It is located just 10 miles north of Interstate 90 and the City of George, at the juncture of State Highway 28 and State Highway 281. Quincy is 150 miles east of Seattle and 145 miles west of Spokane.
Quincy is a highly productive agricultural area with 200,000 irrigable acres under production. The fertile soil and ideal climate produces potatoes, apples, wheat, alfalfa and corn.
The economy of the Quincy Valley is based largely on agriculture, with several processing plants, packing houses and light industry in the area.
Quincy Valley boasts excellent public golf courses. Crescent Bar Resort, 8 miles west of Quincy, has a 9-hole course, drive range and putting green. Tower Greens putting green is also located at Crescent Bar Resort. The 18-hole Quincy Valley Golf Course is 5 miles south of Quincy on Highway 281.
Water sport enthusiasts will find the Columbia River, 7 miles west of Quincy, a perfect setting for all types of water activities. The average temperature is 80 degrees, with little rainfall. Public access boat launch located at Crescent Bar Resort.

Local Parks include East Park featuring softball, BMX track, grills & picnic tables, basketball, horseshoe, playground and Aquatic Center. North Park with baseball, basketball, picnic tables and playground. McConnell Park with baseball and picnic tables. South Park features little league fields, horseshoe, soccer and restrooms. Hospital Park has playground and picnic tables, while George City Park is equipped with picnic tables, playground, bandstand and horseshoe.
